Purpose of Offshore and Onshore Training
The aim of the Offshore and Onshore: sandblaster - painter training course is to give you the necessary skills to work in the offshore industry. Our extensive range of painting equipment will enable you to develop the required skills to work as a sandblaster - painter, on offshore platforms. With us, you will acquire all the qualifications you need for your job.
Course of training
The course is based on theoretical and practical training. The trainees are introduced to issues relating to:
- basic anti-corrosion processes,
- surface preparation for sandblasting and painting,
- paint application,
- applicable laws and health and safety rules.
Scope of topics
In order to fully develop the knowledge and skills of the students, we have prepared a range of topics that future sand painters will have to deal with:
- Workplace health and safety,
- jet cleaning,
- inspecting the quality of painted coatings,
- basic maintenance of painting and varnishing equipment,
- spray painting,
- painting by hand,
- securing hard-to-reach areas.
Conditions for participation in training
Trainees are required to:
- were over the age of 18,
- had at least primary education,
- had no medical contraindications to the occupation of sandblaster-painter.
Examination confirming qualifications
Each trainee must take a certification exam after completing the course in order to obtain the required certification. The exam consists of a theoretical and a practical part. A positive result from the examination board qualifies for NORSOK M - 501 certificates, permitting work in the sandblaster-painter trade.
