About our course on deck cranes
Deck crane a device used in marine, harbour and Offshore transport. It is used to move cargo and load ships. If you are interested in becoming a deck crane operator, it is necessary to obtain a licence. In order to obtain them, all you need to do is take a course and pass a state exam. Our company offers training for a deck crane operator licence. We have been on the market for many years and during this time we have trained a huge number of operators and maintainers of cranes and forklift trucks, among others. Scope of the course
The course for deck cranes is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical and ends with an examination before a commission appointed by the Office of Technical Inspection. Theoretical classes are conducted by competent instructors in our training centre located, among others, in Warsaw and other cities throughout Poland. Our instructors are happy to share their knowledge and teach participants how to operate deck cranes safely.
Training programme
Our course programme includes, but is not limited to:
- learning general information about ships and lifting equipment - their types, technical characteristics and use,
- health and safety rules,
- legal acts of technical supervision,
- operation, construction and maintenance of cranes,
- technical specifications and construction of the cranes,
- ancillary equipment,
- issues related to the provision of pre-medical assistance and fire-fighting.
Examination
The training course concludes with a state examination. Upon passing the examination, trainees receive an indefinite course completion certificate issued pursuant to § 18(2) of the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 11 January 2012 on continuing education in non-school forms (DZ.U. of 2014, item 622) or a term certificate issued by the Office of Technical Inspection, which are valid for a period of 5 years.

What are the requirements to take part in the course?
All you need to have is:
- at least 18 years of age,
- minimum basic education,
- medical certificate that there are no contraindications to work as a crane operator.

Questions and answers
Will it be possible to work abroad after taking the course and receiving the UDT certificate?
Yes, the UDT licence for the operator of on-board cranes is valid throughout Poland, as well as in some EU countries.
Is the on-board crane operator qualification unlimited?
The qualification certificate issued by the Office of Technical Inspection is time-limited and valid for five years.
Which cranes can be operated with a qualification certificate?
Upon completion of the UDT exam, participants receive a certificate authorising them to operate deck cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 50 tonnes.
