The aim of this course is to prepare participants to sit for the examination for a category 1 kV electrical licence. The course prepares the participants for the examination in the scope of operation, maintenance, repair, assembly, control and measurement of installations, networks and energy devices of group 1.

Issues such as:

  • construction and operation of electrical equipment, networks and installations
  • protection against electric shock
  • use of measuring and control equipment
  • principles for the rational and safe use of electrical equipment, networks and installations

In order to obtain a licence up to 1kV, it is necessary to participate in an examination which checks the knowledge possessed by the trainee.

ERGON comprehensively prepares you for the exam in every facility of certification committees that issue permissions for electricians.

The examination may be conducted before a committee appointed by the Polish Electricians Association (SEP) as well as before committees of such associations as the Polish Electrical Association (PSE), the Association of Engineers and Technicians of the Food Industry (SITPS or SITSpoż), the Association of Polish Mechanical Engineers (SIMP) and others.

A certificate of competence obtained after passing the examination is valid for a period of 5 years. After this period it is necessary to take the examination again in order to verify the fulfilment of the qualification requirements.

To take the G1 course you must have:

  • at least 18 years old
  • at least primary education
