List of networks, installations and equipment for groups G1, G2, G3

In order to work with specific networks, installations and devices, it is necessary to have relevant qualifications. Below is a detailed list of such qualifications in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy of 28 April 2003 on detailed rules for ascertaining qualifications of persons involved in the operation of devices, installations and networks (Journal of Laws No. 89, item 828; Journal of Laws No. 192, item 1184).

Category G1 - Electrical Engineering:

• electrical equipment, installations and networks with a voltage of 1 kV or more
• equipment, installations and networks with a rated voltage exceeding 1 kV
• electrical overhead contact line
• explosion-proof electrical equipment
• electric street lighting networks
• electrolysis equipment
• electrothermal equipment
• generators connected to the national electricity grid irrespective of their voltage rating
• generating sets with a capacity exceeding 50 kW
• control and measuring instruments and automatic regulating, controlling and protecting equipment and installations mentioned above

Category G2 - heat:

• steam and water boilers fired by solid, liquid and gaseous fuels, of a power output exceeding 50 kW, together with their auxiliaries
• ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment with a power output exceeding 50 kW
• fuel storage, warehousing and unloading facilities with a storage capacity exceeding 100 Mg
• steam and water turbines of a power exceeding 50 kW, including auxiliary plant
• compressors with a capacity exceeding 20 kW and compressed air and industrial gas installations
• heating networks and installations, including ancillary equipment, with heat transmission of more than 50 kW
• industrial steam and hot water consumer units with a capacity greater than 50 kW
• pumps, sumps, fans and blowers with a power output of more than 50 kW
• industrial furnaces above 50 kW
• control and measuring instruments and automatic regulating, controlling and protecting equipment and installations mentioned above

Category G3 - gas:

• industrial gaseous fuel appliances above 50 kW
• gas transmission networks above 0,5 MPa (gas pipelines, gas stations, gas compressor stations)
• distribution gas networks with a pressure not exceeding 0,5 MPa (gas pipelines and reduction points, gas stations)
• gas turbines
• appliances for the storage of gaseous fuels
• appliances for the production of gaseous fuels, gas generators
• gaseous fuel processing and conversion facilities, gaseous fuel decomposition plants, natural gas processing facilities, gas purification plants, liquefied petroleum gas extraction and bottling plants, denitrification, mixing plants
• gas appliances and installations having a pressure not greater than 5 kPa
• gas appliances and installations with a pressure greater than 5kPa
• control and measuring instruments and automatic regulating, controlling and protecting equipment and installations mentioned above
