IRATA course - get certified!

We invite you to take part in a professional IRATA course, which allows you to gain an international licence to work at height in a rope access system. Our IRATA training is not only a technical preparation, but also an investment in a safe and stable professional future. Whether you are just starting out in rope access or are an experienced technician - we offer training at every level: L1, L2 and L3.

IRATA course

Each course lasts four days of intensive training, culminating in an independent exam on the fifth day. The programme includes both practice in the training hall and theory on IRATA procedures, safety regulations and team communication. The emphasis is on real-world skills, so most of the classes are practical exercises carried out in conditions simulating actual work at height. The exam is conducted by an IRATA accredited assessor, ensuring independent and objective assessment.

Upon successful completion of the course, the trainee receives an IRATA international certificate, an ID badge and a so-called logbook - a rope technician's work log. The logbook is an essential document for renewal of the certificate or promotion to a higher level. The participant is required to regularly record in it the working hours, tasks performed and signatures of superiors. The IRATA certificate is valid for 3 years and can only be renewed by recertification or promotion to a higher level.

Requirements for course participants

All IRATA participants must be at least 18 years of age and in good physical condition. The IRATA organisation requires self-confirmation of no health contraindications. It is advisable that the participant has no problems with balance, fear of heights and is capable of working in difficult environmental conditions. You should join the training when rested and healthy - your own safety and the safety of other participants is a priority.

How to prepare for the IRATA course?

It is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the basics of rope access work before you start training. Comfortable work clothing, gloves and safety footwear should be provided. Those taking the L2 and L3 courses must bring with them a completed logbook with the required experience. It is also a good idea to review IRATA materials such as TACS or ICOP.
