UDT training in the operation of mobile and portable cranes
About the course
We invite you to take part in a training course aimed at preparing trainees for the UDT exam and obtaining the qualifications required to operate mobile and portable cranes. Purpose of the course
Trainee after the course:
- knows the construction of mobile and portable cranes,
- has knowledge of technical supervision and the Labour Code,
- knows health and safety regulations,
- knows how to carry out checks on the equipment before starting work,
- has knowledge of the crane's performance, drive, control, operation of mechanisms and its supporting structures,
- is able to carry out assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner,
- is able to communicate effectively with colleagues,
- knows the principles of working with other types of machinery,
- knows what action to take in the event of an accident or emergency,
- knows the operator's responsibilities regarding maintenance operations,
- has an understanding of the stability of the equipment and the forces acting on its structure,
- has a basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering,
- knows what the load capacity and intensity group of the machine is,
- is able to plan work on the machine under different climatic and weather conditions,
- can control the correctness of the actions carried out.
Examination and entitlement
On completion of the training course, an examination is held before a commission appointed by the local branch of the UDT. If the trainee passes, he or she is issued with a qualification certificate, allowing him or her to work in the newly learnt profession. UDT authorisations are issued for a limited period of time, in the case of HDS cranes for 10 years.
What does the course look like?
The course for HDS cranes includes theoretical and practical classes, during which the trainee acquires the knowledge and skills needed to pass an examination before a commission appointed by the Office of Technical Inspection. Theoretical classes can be conducted online.

Requirements
In order to take part in the training we are organising, you must:

How long are the entitlements valid?
The UDT licence for this type of crane is valid for 10 years.
What equipment does the course cover?
Yes. This is training in the operation of mobile cranes and mobile cranes, which are popularly known as HDS cranes.
How old do I have to be to enrol on this course?
The basic prerequisite for taking part in the course is the age of majority.
