Who should repair the equipment?

Cargo handling in a transport company

The life and health of workers can depend on the correct repair of machinery. It is therefore important to choose a professional service. It is best to choose companies that have been on the market for a long time and have a high level of customer trust and good reviews. So the right choice must be well thought out. Service at ERGON are trustworthy specialists with extensive and long-standing experience in the industry. Our service is divided into two general categories of maintenance work: planned and emergency.

Emergency response - unplanned works

Maintenance of hoisting machinery should lead to a systematic reduction in faults and failures, especially in older equipment. New hoists, on the other hand, should be maintained and the service life of parts extended. In this way, the risk of failure is minimised. Proper maintenance ensures prolonged operation and a more secure continuity of work in motion.

The occurrence of breakdowns is influenced by factors other than the technical condition of the equipment, and these are: the way the equipment is operated (by the operator), the quality of coexisting installations, specific operating conditions, as well as the age of the equipment and components. We provide service on the basis of permanent or individual contracts, responding to reports of problems.

Planned works

Service technicians monitor the condition of components on an ongoing basis, so they can give an early indication of the imminent need to replace a component. Older equipment may need to be redesigned due to a reduction in the number of available spare parts, or may not be compatible with new technologies for reasons such as safety.

Our company carries out machine upgrades such as the installation of inverters, radio controls, drive changes, power supply replacement and more. We have a well-considered and planned approach. Other types of planned service work include initial inspections, special inspections, expert opinions or condition checks.

What does the repair process look like?

  • The reporting party is contacted. The technician assesses the situation, completes the necessary information, investigates the need for spare parts or service work.
  • After expert advice, the individual client is provided with a price list of services, we agree business conditions and confirm electronically.
  • Once we have filled in the necessary information, we agree a date for the service technicians to arrive. For contracts, this is usually instantaneous, in accordance with the provisions of the contract.
  • At the end of the servicing work, we issue a protocol, which mainly includes: the defects found, the scope of work carried out, the number of service technicians, working time and recommendations.
  • Should it not be possible to rectify the fault at the first meeting, we will determine a further course of action.

Specifics of hoists

A hoist is otherwise known as a crane, with which a load can be lifted vertically. This is usually done with a special rope or chain that is connected by a hook. The hoist allows the load to be hitched and transported, so it is a gripping element, most commonly, moved along an idle track, but it can operate in one position (stationary version). The supporting structure is also the hoist casing. There is no single type of hoist on the market. Many types of these devices can be found.

Basic division

Drive type: manualelectric, pneumatic
Power unit: gearboxes: worm, planetary and planetary gearsmotor, gears

All this is needed to reduce the force to lift the load. Another division of hoists is on the basis of the tendon used - rope or chain.

Specifics of winches

The winch has greater capacity for different types of material handling work and a wider range of applications. It is used alongside hoists. It allows the load to be lifted not only vertically upwards, but also sideways. In addition to this, it can be used to pull rope or wire. Some models have a complex design and high-tech equipment. Such cranes can be powered differently, e.g. by hydraulic drive, electric drive and sometimes externally. Very advanced models are equipped with winches. In contrast, the simplest winches consist mainly of a rope, crank-tensioned and a drum. This type of equipment is used for the least demanding work. The winch has a separate supporting structure in the form of a frame, which can be mobile, sliding or fixed.

Use of hoists and winches

The primary use of these devices is to transport the load up and down. They are used in all kinds of facilities: warehouses and production halls, but also on assembly lines. They carry heavy loads. They perform well in areas where oversized goods need to be loaded, unloaded and handled. Industries in which these machines are used include transport, industry and construction. With these machines, work in industrial plants becomes efficient. In addition to moving heavy loads at the same time, these machines do so in a short time and without the need for human strength. It is worth bearing in mind that the type of equipment is always selected based on the size and weight of the load and the location where it is to be installed. The method of power supply and the maximum load play a key role here.

We care about service quality

We understand our customers' needs, which is why we focus on the quality of communication. We know how important it is to act quickly and provide clear information on the fate of equipment, as any downtime generates losses. Our employees are qualified and ready to help with all problems.
