Pressure equipment
They include components attached to pressurised parts such as nozzles, fittings, supports or lifting lugs. These include tanks, pipes, safety fittings or pressure fittings. With pressure vessels, we have a guarantee that the substance is stored in the right way. The pressure vessel is the most important component of a compressed air system and its presence is mandatory. There are two types of vessels: main and auxiliary. The former is usually installed with the cooler and compressor, while the latter is installed at the point of compressed air intake. The main tank, which collects the air, is responsible for controlling the compressor. As for the auxiliary reservoir, it reduces the pressure drop in the system and ensures efficient operation of the installation.
The way a pressure vessel works poses a risk - accidents can happen during operation. The design, manufacture and operation of pressure vessels - they are all regulated. Regulations/standards/any instructions regulate the maximum safe working pressure, operating temperature of the vessel, corrosion allowance and other parameters. The finished structure is usually tested by non-destructive testing.
Pressure vessels for air, nitrogen, hydrogen, argon, oxygen, hydrogen or helium are manufactured by hot forging through pressing and rolling. The working pressure of cylinders in industry, crafts, diving and medicine has a standard value of 200 bar. Rescuers and firefighters need thin, lightweight cylinders to move freely in confined spaces. In addition to standard pressure cylinders, other shapes of cylinders with different working pressures are manufactured. Depending on specific needs, the choice of shape and material allow the working pressure of the tank to be designed.
Users of pressure equipment are obliged to perform for it:
- Periodic surveys,
- Indirect research,
- Emergency studies
If you are determined to work in handling and filling portable pressure vessels with a capacity of more than 350 cubic centimetres, you should enrol in a special course. We invite you to our Operator Training Centre for such a course, which will prepare you to take the exam and start working.
Becoming certified significantly improves the employability of adults and allows them to earn additional income. Filling cylinders with helium is very popular at events, while the ability to fill cylinders with argon is proving useful for TIG welding.
