Qualifications
A successfully passed state examination results in the issuance of a qualification certificate by the commission. The licence is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. They are also referred to as electric building qualifications or qualifications up to 1kV.
Terms of reference for each group of allowances
Electrical qualification G1
It is intended for persons involved in the operation or supervision of electrical equipment, installations and networks for generating, transforming, transmitting and consuming electricity.
The content of the examination in this group is defined in §6 point 1 of the Regulation of the Minister of Economy, Employment and Social Policy of 28 April 2003. Persons qualifying for the G1 certificate know the principles of construction, operation and technical conditions of operating devices, installations of electrical power networks. They can enumerate technical means of fire protection, classes of equipment protection and the principles of lightning protection and surge protection.
During the course, students wishing to become future operators learn about starting, operating and stopping electrical equipment. They learn the terms and scopes of inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests and measurements.
Those focusing on supervision learn the principles and conditions of control and measurement work and methods of testing particular types of electrical equipment.
Both operation and supervision trainees learn the principles and requirements of occupational safety, first aid, and especially methods of de-energising and providing first aid to electrocuted persons. In training future electricians, special emphasis is placed on the impact of electrical equipment, installations and networks on the possibility of fire.
G2 thermal allowance
It is required for those who wish to professionally operate or supervise equipment and energy networks that produce, process, transmit and consume heat. The legal basis for the exam is §8 point 1 of the Regulation of the Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy of 28 April 2003.
G2 trainees learn the principles of construction, operation and technical conditions for servicing power and heat equipment, networks and installations. They learn about technical parameters (type, type, power, pressure), ranges and frequency of recording, inspection, maintenance, repair or testing. Inherent in the training are safety rules and first aid.
Gas qualification G3
Training in this field is intended for those who wish to become involved in the operation and supervision of gas facilities, installations and networks for the production, processing, transmission and consumption of gaseous fuels.
This course introduces students to the principles of construction, design and operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and gas installations. The course includes a presentation on the design principles of district heating networks, ventilation and air conditioning systems and gas installations, including the selection of equipment and components.
